By increased oral absorption of the active ingredient, the target insects are killed very fast.

3 – 10%

of standard insecticide amount is used in baitspray applications. Insecticide rates can be adapted to the spray volume and covered area. In a „bait & kill” strategy, similar effects can be achieved with minimized insecticide use compared to full rate applications.

Flies will feed of bait spray as an attractive protein source and incorporate at the same time the active ingredients of combined insecticides.

Targeted crop protection for environmentally friendly production and low-residue food.

High effectiveness

increases the effectiveness of insecticides, reduces the use of active ingredients by up to 97%. In the combination, the effect of insecticides that are ingested through feeding is greatly accelerated.

Saves working time

The bait spray application, often as one-sided treatment with very low spray volumes enables a very quick application. Labour can be reduced by up to 70% compared to a standard spray application!

Organic growing

combi-protec is included in the organic input list by the FIBL and can be used with insecticides approved for organic growing.

Resistance management

the same concentration of active ingredients as specified in the approval of the plant protection products is used in baitspray applications. Oral intake of the active ingredients reduces the risk of developing resistance. It is easy to switch between the different IRAC groups of active ingredients.

combi-protec, bees and pollinators

combi-protec provides no attractivity for honey bees or other pollinators. This was prooved in several bee studies.

Treatments from rain!

Both the bait and the spray treatments can be expected to be less effective after rainfall. Rain quantities of 10-15 l / m² are sufficient to wash off the spray deposits or bait droplets.

Contrary to the general recommendations, the treatments before precipitation (24-48 hours beforehand), after evaluating the course of the infestation in 2014, are classified by us as very important!

The precipitation leads to best egg-laying conditions and to a higher egg production of Spotted Wing Drosophila. Thus, the control measures one to two days before precipitation events are of increased importance! Even small populations are able to cause damage under these conditions. If treatment is only carried out after the rainfall, the maggots continue to develop because there is no curative agent available and the infestation rocks. The intervals between treatments only need to be reduced in the case of very strong influx.

Small droplets size is recommended in SWD managment. Use air injection nozzles or modified ATR droplets to disperse baitspray.

 

Coarse droplets are only recommended for fruit fly bait applications. Do not use in SWD control!

For grapes, an application in the area of the grape zone and about 30 cm above in the foliage zone is recommended. A one-sided treatment of this area is sufficient. A four-row application with a modified ATR nozzle, which sprays below the grape zone into the next grape row, is recommended on large areas.
